De-Personalizing" Difficult Situations in Supervised Visitation

Every client that enters your facility has their own set of ideas and beliefs about
their situation. As the service provider, you take the time to provide a
comprehensive intake and in turn get differing versions of what brings them to
your facility, and both parties claim their version is “the truth”. Do you get caught
up in which version is “the truth”? Do you care? Should you care? What we hear
and discuss in the intake is necessary information in the world of supervised
visitation. Yet, there can be times when you get caught up in the “story”, and in
doing so, risk maintaining neutrality. During this webinar you will learn how to
recognize what your particular biases may be and how to depersonalize situations
in the SV environment.
